    What are the different types of Permits for travel to Bhutan?
    Entry Permit: This permit is issued on arrival when you travel to Bhutan by flight. The entry point is either in Paro airport (when travelling by flight) or in Phuentsholing Bhutan (when travelling overland either from Bagdogra or NJP). The Entry Permit is also a valid document to visit Thimphu and Paro.
    Route Permit: If you travel to Bhutan by road, you need to have a Route Permit. With a Route Permit, you can visit places like Punakha, Wangdue, Bumthang, etc) beyond Paro and Thimphu.
  • Yes. Indian travellers wishing to visit Bhutan need to carry either their passport, having a validity of minimum 6 months or a voter identity card, issued by Election Commission of India. For Children travelers it is advisable to carry Birth Certificate or Academic School ID Card.
